Accessory Connector Kit

Connect accessories to Motorola mobile radios. At the core of this kit is a 16-pin accessory connector block (part number 1580922V01). It fits directly into the 20-pin accessory connector (P/N 1586184B01) on the back of compatible radios.

Key Features and Technical Highlights

• Versatile connections: Supports both analogue and digital signal functions.

• Speaker output: Pins 1 (Speaker–) and 16 (Speaker +) provide external speaker output through a bridge amplifier. The load must be at least 3.2 Ω.

• Microphone input: Pin 2 is for an external microphone (DC impedance ≈ 660 Ω; AC ≈ 560 Ω). This input works separately from the front microphone port.

• PTT and emergency input: Pin 3 supports an external push-to-talk or emergency switch.

• Emergency activation: Pin 9 can trigger an emergency function when grounded.

• Ignition sense: Pin 10 connects to the vehicle ignition line so the radio powers on automatically when the engine starts.
