Unlike standard communication devices, the Motorola R7Ex is ATEX and IECEx certified, making it safe to use in hazardous environments with explosive gases, vapours, or dust. Built with powerful audio, rugged durability, and advanced safety features, it provides instant, dependable communication when it matters most. Today, we’ll take a closer look at the Motorola R7Ex, its standout features, and why it’s the right choice for teams operating in high-risk environments.

The R7Ex is certified for use in atmospheres with explosive gases, vapours, or dust. It meets ATEX and IECEx standards and has both gas and dust ratings, making it suitable for high-risk environments. Audio Clarity & Loudness

Background noise is managed by AI-trained noise suppression and a single-microphone noise cancellation system (SINC+). The R7Ex can reach up to 108 phons, ensuring messages remain audible even in high-noise environments.

With IP66 and IP68 ratings, the R7Ex is both dust-tight and waterproof (submersible up to 2 metres for 2 hours) in line with ATEX/IECEx specifications. It is built to withstand harsh conditions, including exposure to chemicals, extreme temperatures, and rough handling.
