Icom IC-F1610/2610 Mobile Radio

The IC-1610/2610 series features a keypad with backlighting and dot matrix, multi-function display. The keypad on the front panel allows direct input of memory channels, DTMF codes and tone frequencies. Backlighting ensures smooth input even during night-time operation. The display shows a wide variety of informations at a glance. In addition to various icons, 2 lines of dot matrix characters (of up to 16 characters per line) show important operating status items such as channel number, programmable key functions etc., depending on programming. Built to a tough construction, the series features a detachable front panel which provides installation flexibility which makes it very easy to install. The technology behind the series is impressive and features a Flash ROM CPU for inproved operational performance. The IC-F1610/2610 series features 128 memory channels although this can be upgraded to 256 channels. Memory backup is provided by a maintenance-free EEPROM. Both radios also posses an adjustable minimum AF level, 51 CTCSS frequencies plus 1 programmable and a selectable DTCS polarity. The series has 7 customisable keys available, which means that the service can be personalised to various operating requirements. Both mobiles in the series have selectable channel spacing and have a CTCSS, DTCS encoder/decoder built in. A 5 tone encoder/decoder are standard and numerous 5-tone formats are available. For added convenience an answer back function is featured for 5-tone signalling. Where security is an issue, the IC-F1600 Series is the solution as it features a password function to prevent unauthorised operation. The radios also contain a time-out timer, TOT penalty timer and TOT ID transmission. Other Features: 2 scans (Normal & Priority, 10 scan channel groups and 2 priority channels, 10 DTMF auto-dialling memories, Temporary simplex operation on a duplex channel capability (talk around function), Transmit lockout (channel busy/repeater/reverse repeater), Automatic priority channel selection and/or receive mute release when microphone is picked up, 3 selectable transmit output powers, High, Low-2 and Low-1, Optional AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) system capability.
